What We Test & Why It Matters

Proper diagnostics prevent guesswork and repeat failures. We check power & safety, electronics, mechanical wear, and performance before any repair is approved.

  • ✅ DFW drop-off + ship-in nationwide
  • ✅ 90-day workmanship warranty on repairs performed
  • ✅ Independent — not Festool-affiliated

TL;DR: A structured diagnostic separates a $15 cord issue from a board/bearing failure. If your tool still misbehaves after basic checks, book diagnostics for a clear plan (parts, labor, timeline) before any work begins.

What We Test (Checklist)

1) Power & Safety

  • 🔌 Plug-It / power lead continuity & strain relief
  • 🧲 Switch/trigger function & interlocks
  • ⚡ Grounding & leakage (visual + meter checks)

2) Electronics & Controls

  • 🧠 Speed module / board output behavior
  • 📈 RPM consistency (sanders) across speed steps
  • 🔄 Auto/Tool mode switching on CT units

3) Mechanical Wear

  • 🧱 Bearings & shafts (noise/play/heat)
  • 🛞 Pads, brakes, hubs (pad wear, brake glazing)
  • 🧩 Seals, gaskets, hose ports (leaks that kill suction)

4) Performance / Flow

  • 🌀 Airflow path (bag, filter, HEPA, seals)
  • 📊 Load behavior (stalling, surging, vibration trends)

Common Symptoms & Likely Causes

  • No power → cord/Plug-It, switch, fuse, module
  • 🐝 Vibration / poor finish (sanders) → pad/brake wear, bearings, unbalanced pad, speed module
  • 🛑 Won’t hold speed → speed control / board, brushes (if applicable), load sensing
  • 🌬️ Weak suction (CT) → bag full, filter clogged, hose/port leaks, lid gasket, motor wear
  • 🔁 Auto mode not switching (CT) → tool socket, board logic, debris in selector, contact wear

What You Get with Our Diagnostics

When to Book Diagnostics (Skip More DIY):

  • New bag/filter/pad didn’t solve it
  • Grinding/screeching or ozone/burn smell
  • Intermittent power or speed surging after cord checks
